Together In Government & Education Reform

"Advocating for Educators. Supporting Public Education. Empowering Informed Voters."

What Is TIGER?

Collier TIGER is a registered political committee that advocates for the needs of educators in the political arena.

Our Purpose

Committed to supporting high-quality public education, Collier TIGER works to inform school employees about the direct connection between effective government leadership and improved teaching, learning, and working conditions in our schools.

TIGER coordinates political activities that help advance educational excellence and support the success of both students and educators.

School employees are directly impacted by decisions made by elected officials. These decisions influence:

  • Class sizes

  • Employee salaries

  • Retirement benefits and eligibility

  • Healthcare and other employee benefits

  • School funding and resources

  • Working conditions for educators and support staff

Because of this, Collier TIGER seeks to identify and support candidates for public office who demonstrate a genuine commitment to public education, students, and school employees.

A Separate Organization

Florida law requires organizations that support political campaigns to register as political committees.

Maintaining Collier TIGER as a separate organization also allows educators and supporters to combine their efforts and resources, creating a stronger and more effective voice for public education than individuals could achieve independently.

Collier TIGER does not use, and by law cannot use, association or union dues from CCEA to make contributions to political candidates or political parties.

Nonpartisan Commitment

Collier TIGER is a nonpartisan organization that supports and engages with candidates from all political parties.

Our focus is not on party affiliation, but on identifying candidates who will best support public education and the professionals who serve our students. TIGER provides information and resources to help members become informed voters, while recognizing that every individual's voting decisions remain their own.
